Policy on due diligence compliance (in particular human rights and labour rights)

The Zumtobel Group’s Declaration of Princi- ples on Human Rights covers the following main topics:

The Zumtobel Group’s commitment to due diligence applies to its own workforce as well as to the entire value chain and forms an integral part of the corporate strategy. The commitment includes responsible cor- porate governance, human rights and labour standards. Respect for and upholding of human rights and compliance with the prin- ciples of labour law, occupational safety and the protection of health all over the world are crucial elements and form the basis for cooperative partnerships. The Declaration of Principles on Human Rights provides the overarching framework for fair and safe working conditions. It covers the basic prin- ciples of labour law, occupational safety and the protection of health. Specific aspects of work-life balance are also addressed, in par- ticular through working time arrangements and flexible working models.

Suspected violations or non-compliance can be reported to the HR department, the Com- pliance department, or using the Zumtobel Group’s anonymous whistleblower system. The Zumtobel Group’s Code of Conduct and the Declaration of Principles on Human Rights have been approved by the Manage- ment Board.

Declaration of Principles on Human Rights

The Zumtobel Group’s Declaration of Princi- ples on Human Rights and Code of Conduct underscore its commitment to respecting and promoting human rights in all business activities. The Zumtobel Group’s Code of Conduct designates this declaration of prin- ciples as an important reference point for employees and business partners. To allow for even more comprehensive reporting, the Zumtobel Group’s whistleblower system also includes the category of human rights. Both the Zumtobel Group’s Code of Conduct and the Declaration of Principles on Human Rights comply with international standards, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, OECD Guidelines, UN Guiding Principles, UN Global Compact and the ILO’s core labour standards. These policies were developed to ensure compliance with all due diligence obligations.

Actions related to working conditions of the company’s own workforce [S1-4]

As a responsible employer, the Zumtobel Group wants to provide an effective work- life balance for its employees in the vari- ous stages of their lives. It also takes into account the constantly changing needs of young generations in the labour market. In addition, various actions are being taken to help working parents balance work and family life. Employees can choose from models such as part-time employment, educational leave, sabbaticals, parental leave for fathers and working from home.
