Calculation of Energy Efficiency

to the total electrical power consumption (number of luminaires multiplied by rated connected load) is calculated. Overall, the energy efficiency of all products introduced during the reporting period increased from 138.2 lm/W to 140.8 lm/W. This figure is a purely physical measurement and therefore represents a potential for improvement, regardless of how long the products sold are used. The topic of energy efficiency is more relevant than ever due to the necessary global efforts to reduce CO₂e emissions.

Artificial lighting converts electrical energy into visible radiation and therefore into light. Energy efficiency is an important key figure in the lighting industry and describes how much light in lumens can be generated from one watt of electrical power. To determine the energy efficiency of the luminaire portfolio in lm/W, the ratio of the total light output placed on the market during the period under review (number of luminaires multiplied by rated luminous flux)
