The pain of arthritis is actually caused by inflammation that builds up irritating the surrounding tissues and muscles, or in severe cases nerve endings on exposed bone. Whether you experience arthritis in your knees, low back, shoulders or neck, if your joints don’t move like they use to, this causes further rubbing and increased pain. The Keys to Relieving Your Arthritis Pain When a joint becomes arthritic, it loses it’s normal motion and strength from surrounding muscles. By restoring normal joint movement and improving muscle strength, the amount of excessive pressure on the joint can be relieved. In turn, the reduced pressure minimizes inflammation caused by the excessive rubbing, thus relieving pain and improving mobility. Our physical therapists have years of medical training in helping people relieve the stiffness, achiness and pain associated with arthritis. Our experts analyze your joint movement, muscle strength and overall function. We then pinpoint the exact areas that are causing the pain and improve your pain-free mobility. Call us today to learn more about our arthritis program and how you can enjoy a pain-free life! PinnaclePhysicalTherapy logo identity -R7

Patient Spotlight

Hello...Ithasbeenoverthreeyearssinceyougavemeexercises. I am still doing my daily exercises, biweekly visits to the gym and playing pickleball normally twice a week (I still don’t run on the court). I will confess I did enter one tournament. Last November my partner and I won the National 85 and over pickleball doubles championship (we only had to play a few matches). We just returned from a three weeks driving trip to the Pacific Northwest where we climbed a 1,600 ft mountain one mile up and one mile down. “Thank you for all the exercises you gave to me.” - Earl S.

By the way, I had my 89th Birthday this March!

Thank you for all the exercises you gave to me.

Earl is pictured with the hat on. His pickleball partner Kent is to the left.

All the best,

Earl S.
