According to the professional association, 1 in 5 adults are diagnosed with arthritis annually. Physical Therapy is the most common treatment for Osteoarthritis, usually providing relief of joint pain in just a few sessions. If you have arthritis, don’t fret - there is hope! While anti-inflammatory and pain medications will help for the time being, they are very much a short-term solution. Physical Therapy can help in actually strengthening your joints and muscles once again, allowing for a much healthier and long-term pain relief solution. Physical Therapy will also help in learning to use your joints in new ways once again, allowing for the highest quality of life despite the severity of your arthritis. See elsewhere in this newsletter for additional options to get relief from moderate to severe Osteoarthritis Our physical therapists are trained to help you with joint alignment, stability, muscle regeneration, and most importantly, pain relief. They are dedicated to helping you get back to your normal levels of mobility. Don’t settle for a life of aches and pains - Physical Therapy can get you back on your feet and doing the activities you used to love! If you are suffering from Osteoarthritis, give us a call today - we can get you back to living your best, most pain-free life. Alternatives to Surgery: Using Your Own Stem Cells to Heal Your Body! Young and middle-age adults who sleep 7 hours a night have less calcium in their arteries (an early sign of heart disease) than those who sleep 5 hours or less or those who sleep 9 hours or more. 2. Keep the pressure off. Get your blood pressure checked every 3-5 years if you’re 18-39. If you’re 40 or older, or if you have high blood pressure, check it every year. 3. Move more. Aim for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week of moderate exercise. Being sedentary for the other 23 1/2 hours is really bad for your heart. 4. Slash saturated fats. Cut down on saturated fats, which are mainly found in meat and full-fat dairy products. Choose leaner cuts and reduced-fat options. 5. Find out if you have diabetes.
