A natural entrepreneur and community leader, Jay’s extensive portfolio includes her travel & tourism company, Travel I Diaz USA; which promotes tourism in Pakistan, as well as her facilitation of an investment forum which handles investment opportunities and events attended by dignitaries and Rotary Club members, on a global scale. Jay has also been instrumental in women’s empowerment projects for both Pakistan and Kansas City, that focus on the provision of education & literacy programs, and she was the Commissioner for Pakistan in the Kansas City Mayor’s Ethnic Enrichment Commission. Unfortunately, Jay crossed paths with misfortune and lost her eldest son, Zain, at a young age to Cardiac Arrest. The heartbreak Jay experienced and her love for Zain fueled her efforts to launch the NGO, ‘Zain for Hearts’, so that her son’s memory could live on in the Kansas City community that he loved and was a vital member of. Zain’s love for sports, combined with Jay’s passion for empowering women and the youth ensures that ‘Zain for Hearts’ creates projects that not only highlight girls and women in sports on a global scale; but also provides the resources necessary to financially stimulate communities and to contribute to the furthering of youth’s education. The ‘Zain for Hearts’ Foundation is currently working on three major projects to help support people in both Kansas City and Pakistan which include the ZFH Girls Soccer/Football Pre-Tournament that strives towards uplifting young girls in impoverished communities through sports and education, while contributing to the socio-economic growth of the community. Their Food Giveaway Drive Through is a heartwarming initiative that encourages the Kansas City and communities of Pakistan to see beyond themselves and into the lives of the homeless; encouraging people to always think about and help those who are in need. The ‘Zain for Hearts’ Foundation takes health care very seriously, and is the core of what the foundation stands for, and therefore strongly highlights the importance of people all over the world being able to have access to high quality health care. The MedOrtel project currently in progress, seeks to bring medical professionals from all over the world together to not only consult on the latest medical advancements; but to provide their professional services to those who are vulnerable and in need.

QUESTION 01

QUESTION 02

Describe yourself in three words

What is one of the things you would put on your bucket list? Visiting every single village in India has been on my bucket list for years! There is something so profound about India, particularly the rural areas, that always make me feel so liberated. I want to be able to travel to every single one of those villages and immerse myself in the culture, with the people, and lend a helping hand in whatever way I can.

Flawed,Self-aware, and an Adventurer. I believe we’re all flawed individuals and that is what makes us so unique. It’s high time we start learning and teaching others to embrace our flaws. I’m self-aware in the sense that I like to understand what my strengths, weaknesses, ambitions, interests, etc are. It helps me further improve myself, but also gives me a certain purpose to drive towards. I’m an adventurer as I like to take risks. This was something I tried learning during the pandemic because quarantining gave me so much time to introspect. I realized that we’re always caught up in what the world wants from us and life subsequently zooms by without our knowing. I want to change that for myself by taking bold, calculated risks so that I can experience everything that life offers.

QUESTION 03

Have you ever been jealous of your co contestant? I was never jealous because the atmosphere was never like that. We would all show up in sweats and tshirts, with drinks from Dunkin Donuts, and always looked so tired. We bonded over the simplest to the most drastic things. It was a room full of sisters who loved each other for who we were. In fact, there were many times, especially during the Worldwide pageant, where the other contestants from different countries would help ease my anxiety before going on-stage, give me life advice, or just walk around the hotel with me. It was a beautiful way to develop life-long and meaningful friendships.

QUESTION 04

QUESTION 06

Given a chance, what would you choose to be rather famous for? Oh god, this one’s hard. I’d choose to be famous for creating something that completely changes peoples’ lives. It doesn’t matter what sector - whether it be agriculture, theatre, academics, medicine. I’d like to be someone who leaves the world better than I found it :) Sounds cliché, but it’s the truth!

Your favorite thing about social media? My favorite thing about social media is the ability I now have to connect with absolutely anyone. Recently, on behalf of my nonprofit, Happy2Thrive, we were able to connect with someone special all the way from India. I’ve personally had several conversations with many others from various parts of the world and that is the most beautiful thing for me about social media.

QUESTION 05

What makes you smile? QUESTION 07

What is the meanest thing you ever said to anybody? I’m sure I’ve said many mean things growing up, but I can’t recall the exact things I said. I’m sure I tortured my mother and brother a lot growing up, so I probably definitely said many things to them, which inevitably led to the typical family fights. However, I did learn that it is through these fights and vulnerable conversations that my relationship with my mother, in particular, has evolved into something much more special. That doesn’t mean I’m telling everyone to go fight with people, but I’m trying to say that these fights have led me to be able to open up to my loved ones more, which strengthened our relationships.

Being with family and friends makes me smile. They keep me so rooted and always supply me with an abundance of love and energy. I’ve also been blessed with people who call me out on things and provide me with constructive criticism that I take to heart so that I can continue to improve myself as a person.

Chocolate or Caramel? QUESTION 08

Chocolate, hands down!!! Chocolate with oreos or brownies, to be more specific :)

QUESTION 09

What scares you?

A lot of things haha, but one of the biggest ones would be the fear of dying before fulfilling everything that I want to fulfil in life. I’m sure this is a pretty typical fear for many. Life seems to be so vast, but so ephemeral at the same time, hence why it can get a bit complicated at times. On a lighter note, I’m also deadly afraid of stickers. Any type of sticker, whether it be the ones teachers hand out or normal bindis that we wear with our lehengas. I just hate stickers and am so scared of them.

QUESTION 10

Dr Amber Jamal created this BGN Network as a powerful platform in the USA and Canada? What special message do you have for our BGN readers? To all the BGN readers, my special message is to not be so hard on yourself. This is something that I’m personally working on as well. In a society that glorifies hustle culture and productivity over physical and mental health, realize that you are worth more than the boundaries set by society. You are capable of going beyond those boundaries and discovering a mesmerizing meaning to life. Don’t be afraid to take the easy route especially when you’re not ready for the hard route because sometimes we just need to give ourselves a break and everything will fall together.

Diet does not mean avoiding or stop eating. Diet is defined as Eating healthy. Eating a healthy diet is all about feeling great, having more energy, improving your health, and boosting your mood. Good nutrition, physical activity, and healthy body weight are essential parts of a person’s overall health and well-being. Living healthy is important for every individual because it saves him the costs of treatment and the hassle of going to hospitals. The chances of getting in contact with a disease are quite less as compared to an unhealthy person. Health is the factor that helps a person perform his daily life tasks in the correct and right way. Psychologically healthy individuals feel comfortable and happy in their lives and enjoy life well, they also face less mental illness. A balanced diet typically contains 50 to 60 percent carbohydrates, 12 to 20 percent protein, and 30 percent fat. All the organs and tissues need proper nutrition to work effectively by consuming the right amount of nutrients and calories to maintain an ideal weight. The importance of diet lies in the intake of the right amount of calories. Your body gets the right nutrition when you consume a wide variety of food rich in calories such as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and proteins. The importance of nutritious food for children especially needs to be highlighted since otherwise they may end up being prone to several growth and developmental problems. Working out is important for every individual, it improves your muscle strength and boosts your endurance. Working out also helps your tissues and cardiovascular system by providing them oxygen and nutrition and they also work efficiently. Workout can be an advantage or disadvantage to your body. If you over workout it will damage your body. It is better to time your workout. While doing exercise, they create microscopic tears in your muscle tissue. But during recovery, cells called fibroblasts repair those microscopic tears. This process helps the tissue to heal and grow, which results in making the muscles stronger. You need to give time to your body to recover by giving them a rest day. Resting is very necessary after doing exercise especially heavyweight exercises because muscles and tissues need more time to repair and rebuild. In general, muscle takes 24 to 48 hours to repair and rebuild. You need to always remember that exercise depletes your muscles' glycogen levels. And if these stores aren’t replaced, then you will experience muscle fatigue and soreness. Rest is also essential for you to remain safe. Moreover, if you over workout then you will be out of your form which means you are likely to drop weight. If you push your body too hard and too often without a break, you’re likely to end up with injuries and pain. Juliet Kaska, a celebrity trainer affiliated with Vionic Innovation Lab, pointed to a 2017 study that found overtraining may cause a decrease in bone density. The researchers wrote, Very intense training without adequate recovery period may lead to increased inflammation and subsequent bone restoration (loss). When an individual has a loss in bone density, they are more inclined to have bone fractures. As a general goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day. If you want to lose weight, maintain weight loss, or meet specific fitness goals, you may need to exercise more.

Fear of

in DrinkingWater Is Driving U.S. Consumers to Buy HomeWater Filters “Forever Chemicals”

The U.S. residential water treatment market reached revenues of over $2.2 billion in 2020.

Concerns regarding emerging contaminants and rising customer expectations of drinking water quality are drivers for home water filters in the U.S. Customers are becoming increasingly aware about contaminants in their water supply. Additionally, ongoing media scrutiny regarding poor quality water, waterborne illness outbreaks, boil water advisories, and emerging contaminants like per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are creating awareness among customers. PFAS are a family of ever-expanding, complex man made compounds also known as “forever chemicals” that have leached into our soil, air, and water. There are nearly 5,000 different types of PFAS found in various products like nonstick cookware, food packaging, cleaning supplies, paints, waterproof jackets, fire-fighting foams, carpets, and more. Another key driver for the residential water filter market is home remodeling. The pandemic has created a surge in do-it-yourself (DIY) home improvement projects. Additionally, the home remodeling market was buoyed through the pandemic as owners spent a considerable amount of time at home and realized the need to update or reconfigure their homes. More sophisticated technologies, like reverse osmosis (RO) for instance, is receiving increased attention as it is more effective against emerging contaminants. RO systems cater to an increasing number of end users that are aware about emerging contaminants and tap water quality issues – notes Shilpa Tiku, Chief Research Officer and Partner at Verify Markets.

You are like God 's reflection or rather you are the "GOD" to me.Dad, you have given me the best things in life: Your time, your care, and your love. I am truly grateful to have you in my life. Thanks for acting like a kid when I was a kid, acting like a friend when I needed a friend, and acting like a parent when I needed one. You are the best man I know. Although time and distance may separate us, your guidance, advice, and love has stuck with me through it all. I would not be who I am today without you. Happy Father's Day to my hero and role model. Thank you for everything you have done for our family. We love you with all our hearts.

Dear Daddy My Prophetic Soul “I know I shall be homesick for you. Even in heaven”

His face is a profound study for the secrets in his pocket of tightly woven sack of fatherhood. He neither troubles nor expresses as he has learned how to manage the law of contraries alone. He never loses patience, never doubts or complains, but always hopes, and works and waits cheerfully. What makes a man Hero?

Thou will be pleased to know My existence is all about you How agelessly you were austere Ran before the wind As my fearless faithful companion

Fathers never complain, remain awake and active in carrying out their responsibilities and surely are the happiest in the end. If one doesn’t seem to need help, it is because one has a better friend, the father, to comfort and sustain during the troubles and temptations of life but one can overcome and outlive all as learn to feel the strength and tenderness of father’s existence whose love and care never tire or change, can never be taken away but becomes the source of lifelong peace, happiness, and strength. How adequately thy verdicts were All tremendously stupendous

Harmoniously handsome like a god Fair and radiantly righteous ever Thy probity endlessly long lived Empathetically empathetic

Believe this heartily that all our little cares, and hopes, and sins, and sorrows, as freely and condingly are clung more closely to the fatherly benevolence which never means us to be weaned, but through which he draws us closer to his unconditional love and care. I treasure his forehead’s ne lines on my startled look or when I spoke sharply, rebuked me more than any words but his love, respect, and condence to his children is the sweetest reward I could ever receive to be his daughter. I prospect that his love will make my heart to get on happily together, in a relation who needs innite patience and care. He helps and comforts to make his children practice all the virtues of forbearance. His eyes are ever clear by many tears, and a heart softened by the tender sorrow, as his fatherhood is uneventful, unambitious, yet full of the genuine virtues which smell sweet, and blossom in the dust, the self-forgetfulness that makes the humblest on the earth as simple, sincere who seldom speaks much of his piety; shows itself in acts rather than words. Oh dear! Speaking about the father reminds me how much I miss him, how much I owe him. His children make him an old man inexorably enough, but leaving his heart and spirit young and in full strength and enthusiasm. His gray head is the impression of the old fellow's hand in giving his blessing, and every wrinkle but a notch in the quiet calendar of a well-spent life. Is it someone who is macho? He isn’t a hero Known to the world He never brags He quietly works For those he loves the most Lays his hand lightly upon those who have used him well.

The Power of Triple-S in Life

Do you know that you are the LIMITED edition on this planet?

Do you know that your self-worth is not determined by others?

Do you try to be better than others or you try to be better than the person in the mirror, i.e yourself? These questions sound so simple, yet they are the most difficult ones to answer. And the magic of these questions is that we all know the right answers but in this marathon of life we tend to forget the correct answers and do mistakes and keep losing marks in the life examination.

Let’s try to understand the power of triple S and its connection to the above questions.

The first S stands for Self-Love

We love to be active on social platforms; in fact, our morning ritual starts with checking our social links and look over the stories of people around us. It’s good to get inspired but many of us tend to develop the inferiority complex within ourselves. Instead start your morning by looking at the mirror and talking to yourself and saying “You are the best, you are confident, you are the hero of my life and you are my role model”. Develop the habit of believing that you are not beautiful like others, but you are beautiful like yourself. Self-Love is the first step to enter the door of happiness. We all love to buy LIMITED edition materialistic things and handle them with the utmost care, then why do we forget to take care our ourselves, which is not only a LIMITED edition but it’s also PRICELESS.

The second S stands for Self- Acceptance

When we look at others and find ourselves different from others, we try to copy them. Whereas when we accept ourselves the way we are, we are relieved frommajor stress in our lives that is to get accepted by others. Let’s not hand over the remote control of our lives into the hands of others. Let’s learn to drive our own life instead of giving control of our steering wheel to others. We are safest if we drive ourselves. Happy Father's day by Huma kirmani

The third S stands for Self-Improvement

If we start comparing ourselves with others, we will never improve. Rather let’s compare ourselves to our own as yesterday and we are guaranteed to improve. We all have dreams and goals to accomplish but if we remain the way we are today; we won’t become what we want to become.

So let’s invest in ourselves, let’s take a small step each day to work on ourselves.

To summarize, let’s follow the triple S formula and choose to be happy. We don’t need to travel and go to vacations for happiness, happiness is within ourselves. Happiness is in the hands of the person in the mirror, let’s focus on that. Let’s build our dreams, our way, on our terms and conditions which do not come with any asterisks or hidden star marks.

Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries. When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they can reach their full. It should be potential... Empowering girls is the key to economic growth, political stability and social transformation

UnderstandingWomen’s Empowerments. Women’s empowerment can be defined to promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. It is closely aligned with female empowerment – a fundamental human right that’s also key to achieving a more peaceful, prosperous world. In Western countries, female empowerment is often associated with specific phases of the women’s rights movement in history. This movement tends to be split into three waves, the first beginning in the 19th and early 20th century where suffrage was a key feature. The second wave of the 1960s included the sexual revolution and the role of women in society. Third wave feminism is often seen as beginning in the 1990s. Women’s empowerment and promoting women’s rights have emerged as a part of a major global movement and is continuing to break new ground in recent years. Days like International Women’s Empowerment Day are also gaining momentum. But despite a great deal of progress, women and girls continue to face discrimination and violence in every part of the world. Why is empowering girls and women so important? Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries. When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they can reach their full potential. Contributing their skills to the workforce and can raise happier and healthier children. They are also able to help fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large. A key part of this empowerment is through education. Girls who are educated can pursue meaningful work and contribute to their country’s economy later in life. They are also four times less likely to get married young when they have eight years of education, meaning that they and their families are healthier. HowWorld Vision is helping empower women. We believe that healthy, educated and empowered women and girls are agents of change. When women and girls are supported, they gain opportunities to speak up for their rights, and also to advocate for their communities. They are also able to rise in social standing, and they can feed this into future generations. This means women’s organizations, women’s empowerment policies and women’s charities can gain momentum and contribute to a stronger world.
