RADIO BROADCASTING by Al Sanders O n e o f the newest missionary outlets presenting the Gospel is P J A - 6, broadcasting voice of The Evangelical Alliance Mission and located in the Netherlands Antilles. With 5,000 watts of power, at 920 on the radio dial, this station, located in Aruba, is managed by Norman F. Mydske who is a graduate of the BIOLA School of Missionary Medi cine (1950). The station went on the air November 2, 1958 and is currently broadcasting in four different lan guages. The area in which the station is located is a Dutch possession and consequently the official language of the people is Dutch. “ Because of the geographical loca tion, the area has become “polyglot” with peoples from many different countries coming to seek employment in the oil refineries,” stated Mydske. “There are about 3,000 Americans employed here on the island, in addi tion to about 50,000 in Venezuela. The population of the three islands in the Antilles is approximately 200,000.” What a tremendous challenge is pre sented to these faithful workers.

According to Mydske, “The re sponse locally, since we went on the air in November, has been nothing short of phenomenal. To God be the glory for the tremendous reception which has been given us in this voice for God in the Caribbean.” The radio missionary again rejoiced, “We al ready know several families who have come to Christ through the broad casts and of scores of others who are contacting us and making inquiry as to how they may become affiliated with our group.” Known as “ Radio Victoria,” cer tainly God’s people should thank the Lord and pray daily for this added voice in the proclamation of the mes sage of our Lord Jesus Christ.
