A wide range of vehicles are supplied by products from the downstream sector. As a result of economic conditions during 2020 and 2021, new registrations of internal combustion engine vehicles decreased, while new registrations of low-emissions vehicles continued to increase significantly.
As of 2021, there are now over 1.9 million hybrid or non-ICE cars registered in the UK
HGVs and LGVs make up 12% of all road vehicles but travel nearly a quarter of the total road miles
There are over 28,000 public EV charging devices in the UK
