Members of the Kin Club of Russell, Club Richelieu Embrun, Club Optimiste d’Embrun, Club Optimiste de Russell and other volunteers took to the streets of Limoges, Marionville, Embrun and Russell to collect funds for the Russell Township Sports Dome, on September 24. Yvan Brousseau has been working as a consultant in solar and energy projects since his retirement in 2015, following a 37-year career in municipal administration in Northeastern Ontario. Mr. Brousseau is an advocate for the importance of a hospital in the development of a strong community and its key role throughout people’s lives. He resides in Crysler. Marco Lalonde is a manager with over 30 years of experience in municipalities, both in Ontario and Québec. He serves as Director of Public Works Department at Ville de Gatineau since 2008. Mr. Lalonde embraces HGH’s values of compassion, innovation and excellence and wants to apply his experience with the major transformations the hospital is going through. He lives in Plantagenet. Judith Anne LaRocque had a 35-year career with the Canadian government and federal public service before retiring in 2015. She served, among others, as Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff and Deputy Minister for different ministries. She also served as Secretary to three consecutive Governor Generals and was Canada's Ambassador at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. She looks forward to contributing to the hospital and the essential services it provides for the community. She lives in Hawkesbury. Sylvette Leroux operates a family poultry farm in St-Isidore. For almost 40 years, she has been working on the farm, managing daily operations and doing bookkeeping. She has a special interest in improving access to specialty healthcare services for patients. She wants to contribute to the promotion of our hospital within our communities. She lives in L’Orignal. Mr. François Bertrand, Chair of the Board of Directors at Hawkesbury & District General Hospital (HGH), is pleased to announce the nominations of six new directors. Neil Levac is a civil engineer with over 45 years of experience in the field. Founder of the engineering firm Levac Robichaud Leclerc and Associates, numerous Eastern Ontario buildings bear his signature. He looks forward to promoting HGH’s excellence and helping in providing the best service for our patients. He lives in L'Orignal. Sylvain Levac is an accountant and has been with the firm BDO Canada since 1989. He is a Partner associated with the Embrun and Hawkesbury offices. Mr. Levac is offering his expertise in a context where institutions must do more while staying wtithin budget. He also wants to help promote our hospital throughout the region. He lives in Casselman. Madame LaRocque souhaite contribuer à l’ajout de services vitaux pour ses concitoyens par le biais du projet de réaménagement de l’HGH. Elle habite à Hawkesbury. Sylvette Leroux exploite une ferme avicole familiale à St-Isidore. Depuis près de 40 ans, elle participe aux travaux de la ferme et s’occupe de la gestion et de la tenue de livres. Madame Leroux s’intéresse particulièrement à l’amélioration de l’accès aux soins de santé spécialisés près du domicile des patients. Elle habite à L’Orignal. Neil Levac est ingénieur civil et cumule plus de 45 ans d’expérience dans le domaine. Fondateur de la société d’ingénierie Levac Robichaud Leclerc et Associés, de nombreux bâtiments de l’Est ontarien portent sa signature. Il souhaite promouvoir l’excellence de l’HGH et voir à l’offre des meilleurs services à la clientèle. Monsieur Levac habite à L’Orignal. Sylvain Levac est comptable et fait partie du cabinet BDO Canada depuis 1989. Associé de la firme, il travaille aux bureaux d’Embrun et de Hawkesbury. Dans un contexte où les établissements doivent faire plus tout en respectant leur budget, il désire apporter son expertise et contribuer au rayonnement de l’HGH dans notre grande région. Monsieur Levac habite à Casselman. L’HGH est un hôpital communautaire bilingue, à vocation régionale, axé sur le patient et sa famille. Notre équipe de plus de 100 médecins et 600 employés est dévouée à l’excellence en soins de santé et mise sur le travail d’équipe, l’innovation et le leadership. L’HGH deviendra un centre hospitalier régional à service complet d’ici 2018 et offrira plus de services spécialisés, plus près du domicile.
