E very successful commercial and civil project begins with a solid foundation, and that is where Francis Excavating comes in. Brothers Greg and Chad Francis own and operate the family-run company, bringing decades of hands-on experience to every job. Greg entered the workforce at age 14 with a lawn service before expanding into landscape installation. By 2005, he was hauling aggregate and operating heavy equipment. Chad grew up working in the family business and later sharpened his mechanical expertise at Red River Army Depot before bringing that valuable experience back home. The brothers began pursuing excavation and heavy-construction projects around 2008 and officially established Francis Excavating LLC in 2013. In recent years, the company has increasingly focused its expertise and resources on heavy civil and commercial construction. Today, Francis Excavating partners with engineers, developers, general contractors, municipalities, and other commercial clients throughout the Texarkana region and beyond, completing projects on both sides of the Texas-Arkansas state line.
Francis Excavating provides a comprehensive range of heavy civil services, including large-scale site preparation, mass excavation, demolition, land clearing, road construction and rehabilitation, soil stabilization, erosion control, and aggregate hauling. Fully insured and bonded, the Francis team has earned a reputation for keeping complex projects on schedule and within budget. In an industry where precision, coordination, and reliability matter, the Francis family has built its business by doing the essential work, often unseen, with skill and integrity. From initial site preparation through project completion, Francis Excavating lays the groundwork for industrial and commercial development, infrastructure, and continued growth across the region.
