EMPLACEMENT PROPOSÉ PAR ROGERS POUR L’INSTALLATION D’UN SYSTÈME D’ANTENNES DE RADIOCOMMUNICATION : TOUR HAUBANÉE 100 MÈTRES DE HAUTEUR
PROJET PROPOSÉ : Rogers propose l’installation d’un système d'antennes au 5689 rue Ste. Catherine, La Municipalité de la Nation. Les détails du projet proposé sont comme suit : - une tour de télécommunication haubanée dans un espace clôturé et barré et ce, situé côté sud-ouest du lot proposé (à environ 230m de rue Ste. Catherine). Une fois les travaux terminés, le système d’antennes mesurera 100 mètres de hauteur (élévation hors tout). Rogers invite les citoyens, dans les 30 jours ouvrables suivant la date du présent avis , à nous faire part de vos commentaires par courriel ou courrier postal à l’adresse mentionnée (avec une adresse de retour) et/ou à demander de connaître la position de la Municipalité quant à la proposition du système d'antennes. De plus, Rogers donnera suite à toute préoccupation jugée pertinente et raisonnable et la Municipalité tiendra compte des commentaires du public et de la réponse du promoteur à l'égard de ceux-ci au moment de faire part de sa position au promoteur et à Innovation, Science et Développement Économique Canada. Enfin, Innovation, Science et Développement Économique Canada, qui est responsable d'approuver ce système d'antennes, exige que Rogers passe en revue la présente proposition avec le public et la municipalité locale. Après avoir examiné cette proposition, la Municipalité de la Nation fera part de sa position à Innovation, Science et Développement Économique Canada et à Rogers.

About 50 family members of the Bols family, along with some friends, continued their unique way of giving thanks during the Thanksgiving weekend. They held the Running of the Bols fundraising event to support Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) - raising $1,755. Since 2009, the Bols Family has organized four runs, raising more than $8,300. The family has lived in the area since 1959. There are 12 siblings – half of which were born at WDMH. Participants of all ages completed a five-kilometre trek on the Russell Nature Trail. They walked, ran, biked and roller- bladed along the trail. Funds were raised through pledges and donations. It was a cool day, but the rain held off until the run was over. Then they all had their Thanksgiving meal together. “This is a special family,” explained Cindy Peters, Manager of Direct Mail and Events for the Hospital. “They support local health care, so it will be there for future generations and we are very grateful for their support.” —supplied photo
