The rapid advancement of digitalization in the financial sector has spurred significant transformations, giving rise to a proliferation of new digital-based financial products and services collectively known as Financial Sector Technology Innovations (FSTIs). These innovations have had a profound impact on products, activities, services, and business models within the digital financial ecosystem. Indonesia has witnessed remarkable growth in FSTIs, with the number of FSTI companies surging to 297 in the first quarter of 2024, compared to a mere 24 in 2016 (Association of Fintech Indonesia (AFTECH), 2024). Forty-five percent of Indonesia's population resides outside of Java, yet only 20% of them utilize peer-to-peer lending services. Based on these figures, there is significant potential to expand financial services to underserved regions (Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, 2023). FSTI entities play a crucial role in bridging the credit gap in Indonesia by leveraging innovation to broaden credit access, especially for individuals who have previously faced difficulties in accessing formal financial services. Moreover, these innovations can enhance efficiency and transparency within the financial sector. Additionally, digital investments in Indonesia are also continuously developing. Based on the data from Asosiasi Pedagang Aset Kripto Indonesia (ASPAKRINDO), as of May 2024, the total number of cryptocurrency asset investors was 19.75 million investors, an increase of 6.80% investors compared to December 2023 which were 18.50 million. In addition, the value of cryptocurrency asset transactions throughout May 2024 was recorded at Rp260,00 trillion, an increase of 73.91% compared to December 2023. The total transaction value throughout 2023 was Rp149.50 trillion. The emergence of digital assets including crypto assets has become one of the global main trends, with more individuals and institutions
Berdasarkan data dari Asosiasi Pedagang Aset Kripto Indonesia (ASPAKRINDO), hingga bulan Mei 2024, total investor aset kripto tercatat sebanyak 19,75 juta investor, meningkat sebesar 6,80% dibanding sepanjang 2023, yaitu 18,50 juta investor. Selain itu, nilai transaksi aset kripto hingga bulan Mei 2024 tercatat sebesar Rp260,00 triliun, meningkat 73,91% dari dibandingkan sepanjang tahun 2023. Total nilai transaksi sepanjang 2023 sebesar Rp149,50 triliun.
