He hit her in the upper body and face area several times, and then pushed her into a table causing it to break. He bit her finger during the course of the incident. He threw several objects around in the apartment, one of which was aimed at her, but missed. He then fled the area. The man was arrested a short time later and charged with domestic assault with a weapon, two counts of domestic assault, three counts of domestic mischief and six counts of breach of recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim. Could a medical marijuana production facility be built in Cornwall in the coming years? City council has approved a request pre- pared by Mary Joyce-Smith, senior plan- ner with the city, to research and develop a zoning definition, location criteria and standards for medical marijuana production facilities. On April 1 st 2014, Health Canada intro- duced federal regulations pertaining to the commercial production of medical marijua- na. City sees three cases of domestic assault
Cornwall police have recently charged three individuals with domestic abuse. A 17-year-old Cornwall woman was ar- rested on June 26 after she pulled off and broke the chain her boyfriend wore around his neck, then striking and scratching him in the upper body and face area.
