Bethlehem PA - CREW Lehigh Valley kicked off the new year with a tour of an innovative adaptive reuse project shared by Moravian College and St. Luke’s Health Network. About two years ago Moravian College President Bryon Grigsby went to the 24/7 Fitness Center at 1441 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem for his typical workout-and found it closed and locked up. The two now share the 44,000 SF facility that was renovated by the JG Petrucci Company. Moravian College’s new Master of Science in Athletic Training program occupies 33,000 SF of the mixed-use building and about 10,000 SF is dedicated to primary care sports medicine and physical therapy provided by St. Luke’s. new space created by extending a mezzanine level above the full length of the first floor area formerly occupied by racquet courts. The two-year Master of Science program in Athletic Training was first offered in the summer of 2016; the state-of-the-art facilities are designed to accommodate 44 students. CREW LV thanks Amber Donato, Assistant Director of Planning and Program Management in the Moravian Facilities Management Department for coordinating tour and luncheon details.
