The pair became high school sweethearts and beat the odds of long-distance relationships as they attended different colleges. After graduating college, they bought a home together in South Charleston and, during a housewarming party where they were surrounded by family and friends, Travis dropped to one knee and proposed. It was a dream come true for the couple that is now preparing to experience yet another major life milestone together—a fall 2020 wedding. WHERE THEY RESIDE South Charleston

andrew, a native of franklin, calls his mother often, and there are few things that will make a woman weaker in her knees than a son’s devotion to his mother. It might very well mean that he could be husband material. That’s the thing about Andrew that Ivy first noticed. The two met for a night on the town in Morgantown when Ivy, a native of Elkview, and Andrew hit it off. As they exchanged numbers Ivy noticed just how often “Mom” appeared in Andrew’s list of recent calls. Ivy and Andrew became near-constant companions from that day forward. Andrew planned a trip to visit the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, on a beautiful September day in 2019. Once inside, he proposed to his future wife in front of a beautiful pond full of lily pads. He also planned to have the bride’s sister, Madeline, hiding around the corner so she could capture the magical moment in a photograph. Ivy said yes, and the couple is planning a New Year’s Eve 2020 wedding. They currently reside in Morgantown, where Ivy works as a nurse practitioner and Andrew as a civil engineer.
