BEST MAY STORY IN GROUP 2 Muriel Ruppe (Age 11), Kansas. God made a man of dust in the likeness of Himself, and put him in the garden of Eden to care for things. God made a wife for Adam, out of his side when he was asleep. They lived very happily in the garden. God told them they might eat of any tree but the one in the center. One day the serpent tempted Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit of .-the tree. She gave some to Adam and he, ate the fruit. When evening came God came to walk with them, and they hid from Him. God knew that they had sinned, and sent them out of the garden. God said to them “ Out of dust art thou made, into dust wilt thou return.” God loved us and sent Jesus. By one man’s disobedience all are made sinners. . ;By Adam comes death, and by Jesus comes everlasting life. Adam whs the first man on earth and by his sins death came. Jesus was the second Adam and by Him we get everlasting life. Christ was from above. He. was sub ject to temptations like Adam but without sin.; When Adam sinned he ; made himself and all others sinners. But in Christ therfe was, no sin found; ■Unto all ‘that look for Christ He shall appear again without sin unto salvation. They that believe on Him shall have everlasting life. “ Biola Best Books’* Stories!

There’« no more interesting story book for the child than the Bible. And there’s no book in the Bible more fascinating than Genesis. It charms children. It is full of en chanting poetry, it is a shining mir ror of life in every stage.” The Children will love The Enchanted

Garden A. R. Gordon, D. D.

Many persons say, ‘‘Did you hear from him today?” They should say, “Have you- heard from him today?” Some spell calendar "calender” or “calen der.” ,Still others say “between you and I ” instead of "between ..you and me.” It is astonishing how many persons use who’ for ’ "whom” and mispronounce the simplest words. Few know whether to spell certain words with one or two “o’s” or “in’s” or “r’s,” or with “Je" or “ei.” Most persons use only common words—colorless, flat, ordinary. Their speech and their letters are lifeless, monotonous, humdrum. Every time they talior writethey show themselveslacking in the essential points of English.
