BEST MAY STORY IN GROUP 3 The First Adam Compared with the Second Adam, Christ Jennie Casady, (Age 15), N. C. Adam was sinful, fleshly and sub ject to death, while Christ was right eous, holy and had eternal life. When Adam sinned he drew all of the old creation into sin, but Christ, the head of the new creation, brings it into eter nal life and unity with God. After God had formed the earth, seas, and beasts, He saw that they needed a ruler. So He took clay and formed man in the image of Himself and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and he was a living soul. Christ always was and always will be. At the very beginning of time Christ existed. He came from Heaven. He is the express image of God. After God created Adam He planted a garden and in this garden was every tree that was good; also the tree of life. Christ’s home is in heaven. He sits on the right hand of God the Father. The work God gave Adam to do was to dress the garden which he lived in. Also to replenish and subdue the earth and name all of the beasts. Christ’s first work was to make the worlds. His other work was to purge our sins by coming to the earth and dying and shedding His blood on the cross. He is now in heaven pleading and interceding for us. (Continued on next page)
