Randy Wright III - “Video Games: Good or Bad Mental Health” (poster session) Do video games negatively affect the human mind from our everyday lives? It would be crazy to think that video games could have that effect on our minds like that, especially with claims of increasing your hand eye coordination, but then staring at a screen for hours at a time can definitely make a person be disorienting and can definitely make a person unwell in certain situations The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between online gaming motivation, self-concept clarity and problematic online gaming. More specifically, the study investigated the mediating role of gaming motives between self-concept clarity and problematic online gaming. Felipe Yamashiro Souza - Art Showcase (poster session) Mayra Zarate - “Childhood Traumas: Long Term Effects” (poster session) Childhood trauma is an overwhelming cause that can lead to future effects on one’s self. This can lead to many mental health issues, conflicts, and even a hold back from succeeding in the future. Susana Zelaya - Art Showcase (poster session) Pamela Zuluaga - “Person-Centered Therapy When Questioning Gender Identity” (session 18) Review of Person-Centered Therapy techniques and application to a specific client case with an adult questioning gender identity. I will review prevalence and specific considerations working with individuals questioning gender identity.
