ON SE DILATE LA RATE À ROCKLAND grâce à son humour cinglant, Jean-Thomas Jobin s’est fait connaître par le public suite à plusieurs apparitions à la télévision, notamment aux émissions Fun Noir et Le Grand blond avec un show sournois , présentées respectivement par Normand Brathwaite par Marc Labrèche.
Alexandra Montminy Honeymoon Suite, Jean-Thomas Jobin et François Massicotte seront les têtes d’ache de cette quatrième édition du Festival de la rivière des Outaouais, qui se déroulera du 3 au 5 juillet prochain, dans plusieurs municipalités de Prescott Russell. Il y en aura pour tous les goûts cette année à Rockland! C’est d’ailleurs l’objectif que s’étaient xé les organisateurs de l’événement; du plaisir pour tous et à tous les âges. Les amateurs de musique seront comblés, car c’est le groupe iconique des années 1980, Honeymoon Suite, qui lancera les festivités, le vendredi 3 juillet dès 20 h, au parc du moulin à Rockland. Formé par Johnnie Dee et Denny Grehan, le groupe a fait de nombreux spectacles, dont les premières parties d’artistes de renom tels que Billy Idol, April Wine et Bryan Adams. Il a également vendu plus de 400 000 exemplaires de ses albums au Canada seulement. « C’est la soirée qu’on attend avec impatience! Ça permettra aussi aux jeunes de découvrir ce groupe canadien qui a marqué une génération » a dit Julie Chartrand, agente de communication pour la Cité de Clarence- Rockland. La première partie du spectacle sera assurée par le groupe The Casual Aairs , originaire de St-Albert. Une soirée rock à ne pas manquer! Un samedi sous le signe de l’humour Pour la soirée du 4 juillet, Mme Chartrand le conrme : « La soirée d’humour a eu un grand succès l’an dernier et c’est pourquoi nous reprenons le même concept cette année! » Ce sont les humoristes Jean-Thomas Jobin et François Massicotte qui se chargeront de divertir les festivaliers à partir de 20 h 30. François Massicotte est, quant à lui, bien établi dans le domaine de l’humour. Il a également fait partie du paysage télévisuel pendant de nombreuses années. Il était la vedette de la série 450, chemin du golf , di¦usée sur les ondes de TQS. Il a également diverti de nombreux auditeurs montréalais, lui qui a occupé l’animation de plusieurs émissions de radio à travers les années.

AN EVENING TO REMEMBER IN ROCKLAND Honeymoon Suite, Jean-Thomas Jobin and François Massicotte are some of the headliners at this year’s Ottawa River Festival in Rockland and other Prescott-Russell communities over the July 4 weekend. There promises to be something fun for everyone in Rockland. That’s been the main goal for organizers : to have something of interest for everybody and make the 2015 Ottawa River Festival a family treat that no one can beat. Music fans are going to love Friday night at Parc DuMoulin when Honeymoon Suite steps on stage. Johnnie Dee and Enny Grehan assembled this iconic group of the ‘80s, which had a number of top 40 hits and shared centre stage at concerts with the likes of Canada’s own Bryan Adams and April Wine, along with the likes of Billy «Rebel Yell» Idol. The July 3 concert starts on a high note at 8 p.m. and carries on into the night. «This is the ‘can’t-wait-for-it-to-start’ concert,» said Julie Chartrand, media liaison for the City of Clarence-Rockland, host for this year’s Ottawa River Fest. «A whole new generation will discover one of Canada’s rock legends.» Opening for Honeymoon Suite Friday Night will be The Casual Aairs , a good rocking local band from St-Albert. It also shapes up to be some good rocking all night. Saturday night is time to smile After rocking all night Friday, Saturday evening it’s time to sit back and smile, or maybe even fall down laughing in the aisle thanks to the standup comedy antics of the likes of Jean-Thomas Jobin and François Massicotte. «Last year’s evening of laughter was a big success,» said Chartrand, «so we’re happy to bring it back.» The smiles star tat 8 :30 p.m. with Jobin, who received the 2004 Révélation award for his unique brand of comedy. He’s also well-known among Québec and other francophone viewers of T.V. shows like Fun Noir and Le Grand blond avec un show sournois .» Massicotte is also a well-established star of the comedy circuit, including several television appearances on shows like 450, chemin
