VPP Benefit Guide 2026-2027

VPP provides group short-term disability coverage to help protect your income during illness, injury, or pregnancy/childbirth that may prevent you from performing your job duties due to recovery. This benefit is designed to supplement a portion of your income if you are unable to work for a limited period due to a qualifying condition. Short-Term Disability

IMPORTANT: This benefit is paid for 100% by VPP. There is no cost to you, the employee.

ELIGIBILITY

All active, full-time employees (except seasonal, temporary, or contract workers) who work at minimum 30 hours per week. Recent hours worked are verified at time of claim. BENEFITS PAYABLE

Please note: Disability benefits may be reduced by any payments you receive from state disability or paid leave programs. In total, benefits received from this policy, along with state disability or paid family leave and any Paid Time Off, cannot exceed 100% of your pre-disability earnings. This coverage does not apply to work- related injuries or illnesses, which are handled through workers’ compensation.
