In another well-deserved win, Unitrunk were crowned overall winner in this category. The leading manufacturer of innovative cable management solutions impressed the judges with the quality of the entry submission and attention to detail throughout. Headquartered in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Unitrunk has a second manufacturing facility in Warrington, and a network of eight depots throughout the UK and Ireland. The Unitrunk Group, originally established over 60 years ago, developed a specialised division manufacturing Cable Management Systems in 1984. In 2000, the Group added a strong international dynamic, completing the suite of cable management services offered, with the strategic acquisition of Vantrunk Engineering Ltd. The company’s successful business model has included investing in its distribution centre network, hereby providing customers with a local service from a global leader in the cable management industry. In 2020, the company added its eighth depot to the network with the opening of a new facility in the Yorkshire region. Judges commented on the fact that despite growing into one of the world’s leading manufacturers in the sector, Unitrunk still retain those family values which got them to where the company is today. An incredible achievement for Unitrunk, well done.

ATC were overall winners in this category which sets out to recognise a company that derives most of its revenue from selling components in Ireland, and which has achieved clear business milestones during the last two years. Judges commented on the “great range of products” available and how ATC had successfully adapted to a changing market during the Covid-19 pandemic. ATC design, develop, produce and distribute the most innovative, reliable and widely-used energy efficient electric heating, ventilation and hand dryer solutions. The panel of judges were impressed at the company’s dedication to its forward planning which entails a two to three year strategic plan for future growth of the business. This includes professional development and strategic memberships. ATC are committed to developing sustainable products with sustainable packaging in line with UN Sustainable Goals and are in the process of rolling out environmental packaging for selected products. In addition, judges were pleased to learn that ATC now boasts an in-house Marketing Department reflecting a major investment in the ATC brand and communications function. Congratulations to everyone at ATC on a very well-deserved win.
