JACK DUIGNAN
This apprentice attends GRETB Galway Training Centre and is in Phase 5 of his Electrical Apprenticeship. He has a mixed background in domestic, commercial and industrial sectors and has worked on industry leading projects such as Intel, Centre Parcs Ireland, as well as some HSE Pharmaceutical projects. Never one for being late, Jack prides himself on being the first to arrive on site giving him time to plan for the day ahead.
An apprentice with Keldin Engineering, Luke from Tuam, County Galway is in his second year and impressed the judges with his competency and attention to detail. Health and safety are high on the agenda for Luke who makes sure that both him and his colleagues are in a safe area and operate in a controlled work environment. From day one he has shown the utmost consideration to the electrical trade and has a bright future.
JAMIE SOMMERS
ZAIN KENNY
Commencing his apprenticeship in 2020, Zain has a deep- rooted passion for the electrical trade. Zain is meticulous in his approach to everything, never taking shortcuts even under time constraints. He doesn’t shy away from difficult tasks and has a great thirst for knowledge constantly asking questions on and off site. Every opportunity, Zain uses it to his advantage to learn and grow from it.
Jamie has been with his employer since September 2018 and studies at SOLAS WWETB. He came into the trade knowing very little but now has responsibility for a lot of jobs. He has received great support on his apprentice journey and believes this knowledge gives him a great basis going forward in his career as an electrician. His employer has acknowledged him as having great motivation to learn, enthusiastic and dedicated to the role.
