D’ici l’ajout d’images à saveur plus locale, les citoyens devront se contenter d’une photo de prison serbo-croate avec une banderole scandant argent, argent, argent , sur la page des avis d’interruption, quelque chose qui n’a rien à voir avec l’ancienne prison de L’Orignal. Une discussion sur un groupe de mères de Facebook a fait ressortir ce fait, unemère recherchant le parc pour enfants dont la photo se retrouve en bannière de la section parcs et loisirs du site. En réalité, cette photo est celle d’un parc de la ville deHambourg en Allemagne et non pas l’un des parcs de Van- kleek Hill, L’Orignal ou Hawkesbury Ouest. Même chose pour la page agri-tourisme, où une photo d’une vieille grange rouge est en fait un bâtiment agricole du Midwest américain et une autre, une image de la campagne française. Selon la Municipalité, les photos de la section camping sont également des images qui ne représentent pas l’actuel camping de L’Orignal. En fouillant un peu, on remarque aussi que la photo de la patinoire n’a rien à voir avec le Centre communautaire de la rue Mill, mais est plutôt une image de la patinoire duCentre Bruno-Verret de Saint-Étienne-de- Lauzon au Québec. Lamère a fait savoir sonmécontentement au canton qui lui a indiqué « ne pas avoir de photographe officiel et que les lois sur la vie privée rendent la tâche difficile lors de prise de photos. Nous travaillons à l’élabora- tion d’une banque de photos de la région. » Même son de cloche au kiosque du canton de la Foire Commerciale de Champlain, où, pourtant, des photos de la région étaient bien en vue sur un poster géant.
