IN F O R M A T IV E B O O K S by Dr. Clyde M. Narramore THIS W A Y TO HAPPINESS Psychology for Living

By INEZ McGAHEY Sylvia Arnold ’51, Cottonwood, Arizona: “ Yesterday afternoon we had the joy of having 35 young people here from the Calvary Baptist Church, Santa Barbara. The one project that has not become a reality is the remodeling of our girl’s dormitory. The girls and I are praying if it be the Lord’s will that this work might be done soon- Sandra and Gloria accepted the Lord and made a public profession and were baptized last night. Please pray for the others here who know not the Lord as their personal Saviour.” Doris and Herb Cassel ’27, Guatemala: “ For many years we have had the joy of working with you dear friends. You have prayed with us and for us as we have sought to ‘build’ Christian character into the lives of the Indian students at R.B.I. We plan to build two dormitories and do this within 52 weeks . . . Herb was ap pointed recently as Field Secretary of the Mission.” Ernest ’52 and Verda Poulson, Singapore: Just recently, at a seaside baptismal service, our Sharon, 10, along with a dozen other children and young people, was baptised by her daddy . . . Ernie had the joy of helping in another Keen-Teen Crusade . . . Eight of the young people from our little Baptist group attended the Crusade, and we have been amazed to see the growth and change in their lives. Several of them had their first taste of soul-winning through personal evangelism, and they have returned to school with a determination to win their friends to Christ.” Arthur G. ’48 and Marjorie (Summers) Larson, Quito, Ecuador: “ Janice graduated from the eighth grade recently. Gloria is ten . . . and Becky is growing like a weed . . . Pray for our work among these needy people.” George ’33 and Priscilla Smart, Lawr ence, Kansas: “ A girl was waiting at the office door. She was a Hopi from Arizona. She said softly, ‘May I speak with you? . . . I want to accept Jesus. I used to go to the mission on my reservation, but I never was baptized. Now I am ready. I want to be baptized . . .’ The next day she returned for more instruction in the Christian life.” Mildred Gronland ’27, Japan: “ The last three Sundays about 75 first-year high school students crowded into our home for the morning worship service. On Saturday nights about forty come. Every Monday afternoon my interpreter goes with me to the high school where we conduct a Bible class. Last Monday about 150 attend ed. Once a month we receive an invitation from a town south of us to have a Bible class and English conversation and also to learn in English a hymn of the church. Over 200 attended last time . . . I still do not have a Christian worker who can stay with me at night; however, the Lord pro vides night by night and I give Him His praise.”
