Revolution Acquires Five Points Films

Revolution, a Little Rock,Arkansas-based manufacturer fo- cused on processing recycled resin, has acquired Five Points Films,which is a regional manufacturer of cast hand and ma- chine stretch film for commercial customers. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Five Points Films began operations in 2014 at its headquar- ters in Shelbyville,Tennessee. Five Points Films recently made a multimillion-dollar investment in new production equip- ment that is projected to add 35 percent more capacity to its operations by the end of this year. Five Points Films has a team of about 50 employees. Revolution said it plans to keep all Five Points Films employees and executives on its team. Kadant Acquires Balemaster Kadant Inc., a technology manufacturer based inWestford, Massachusetts, has acquired Balemaster, a manufacturer of horizontal balers used in the recycling industry that is based in Crowne Point, Indiana. The company acquired Balemas- ter for $54 million in cash. Balemaster will become part of Kadant’s Material Handling reporting segment. Balemaster’s revenue for the past 12 months ended June 30 was approximately $22 million. Balemaster will continue to operate as a stand-alone com- pany, as part of Kadant’s decentralized business model.
