Octobre est le mois de la prévention des mauvais traitements in!igés aux enfants en Ontario. À Valoris pour enfants et adultes de Prescott-Russell, 38%des dossiers ouverts en enquêtes et évaluations sont transférés aux services de protection à long terme. En 2014-2015, 642 familles ont reçu des services en protection à l’enfance. Le 16 octobre dernier, à l’École primaire catholique Ste-Euphémie, à Casselman, les élèves, vêtus de mauve, ont formé un ruban pour souligner ce mois contre la maltraitance.
