ORGANIZATION Spectrum Brands Middleton, Wis. TITLE Finance Tax Intern
What I did: I prepared quarterly tax provisions including calculating book/tax differences. I also prepare federal proforma income tax returns and workpapers. The last couple of weeks I have helped the state team prepare state income tax returns. I have also helped the international team prepare international tax workbooks. I have done multiple projects to help tax procedures move more smoothly and a couple projects have been research based. What I liked: I liked building relationships with everyone in the tax department at Spectrum Brands. Everyone was always willing to help with whatever question I had regarding any project or tax return I was doing. They understood this was my first time dealing with tax returns and gave me beneficial tips and explained each tax return which helped me understand the processes much better. Future Dream Job: I am not really sure what my dream job is, but I do have a dream work environment. I hope to be employed in a helpful, energetic and kind work environment.
