What I did: I coordinated with Agency 81 and its clients to promote both ourselves (as a new marketing agency) and the university (as the agency’s current primary client). I provided information that led to the naming of the agency (background information on why I thought it should be named Agency 81 along with my own market research on other marketing agencies and available domain names). What I liked: I liked being part of a team that was communicative and worked with an interest in building up a new business. I do not believe there are many opportunities available to experience a setting like this and I am thankful that I was chosen to be a part of the agency. I was able to meet many people and attend many events I otherwise wouldn’t have even known about. I was able to professionally develop my photography skills while learning more about what exactly goes into branding/marketing (beyond what I learned in my classes!). Future Dream Job: My dream job would be starting my own clothing brand and working with designers to produce unique and interesting clothing/accessories.
