THE ROLE Working within the University’s multi-disciplinary Estate Development team, the Cost and Programme Manager will provide strategic leadership on all cost management, programme and contractual matters across the University’s capital programme. With a capital spend over the next period in excess of £430m it is vital that the forecasting and management of costs and expenditure is exemplary and that procurement methods provide maximum value for money. The post holder will oversee the delivery of activities, processes and systems on complex projects. He/she will develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure provision of a robust and comprehensive cost reporting and contract management service, for all projects from inception through to completion.
The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in a quantity surveying, cost management role with responsibility for cost and programme management of construction and property projects. You will have experience of reporting on projects and programmes from a cost, contract and risk perspective and will relish the challenge of achieving value from a large scale and diverse capital programme.
