Successful applicants: - Complete background check, drug screening, physical, and audiogram - Meet with GCTC Apprenticeship Project Manager to organize class schedule & register for classes by May 2022

Tuition Reimbursement

Grow your career, gain a degree, graduate debt free! - Work part-time with pay rates starting at $18 and $20 per hour - Tuition reimbursement begins after completion of the program - Commit to full-time employment at Zumbiel for 2 years post-completion of program for 100% tuition reimbursement

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Starting pay $20/hour | $22/hour upon completion Program The objective of this individual will be to uphold the integrity of the manufacturing and facility equipment along with maintaining a professional environment within the department. The Maintenance department goals are to improve product output and quality to maintain a competitive edge in the paperboard packaging industry with a safe and skillful approach. Electrical Technician — Principle Duties & Responsibilities • Installation and repair of all machinery and building equipment • Troubleshooting and technical skill requirements o High voltage AC o Low voltage AC and DC o Construction electrical duties o Comprehension of electrical prints and schematics o Programable Logic Controllers ▪ Siemens ▪ Allen Bradley ▪ Mitsubishi ▪ GE Fanuc o Variable frequency drives and motion systems ▪ Reliance ▪ Mitsubishi ▪ Siemens ▪ Indramat ▪ SEW Eurodrive o Competency with variety of test equipment o PC computer literacy

❖ Die Cutter Cutting Department

Reports to: Cutting Department Manager Starting pay $18/hour | $20/hour upon completion Program The objective of this individual is to learn, understand, and successfully operate a Die Cutter machine and other related duties as directed by the Cutting Department Manager. Principle Duties & Responsibilities • Perform cutting make- ready’s • Ability to lift repeatedly between 50-70lbs (pallets and plates) • Ability to stand, bend, lift for duration of shift • Attention to detail (visual inspections) • Perform scanner checks and run the 142 CER • Perform maintenance on Die Cutter/Bobst 142 • Ability to operate WIP system and manage inventory • Willingness to maintain equipment and workstation during and after every shift • Reliable with a work ethic, and positive attitude • Ability to operate computer software associated with machinery (ERP system) • Ability to use a hand truck • Lock up dies, rubber dies • Ability to use a tape measure and make accurate measurements Certificate: Computerized Manufacturing and Machining Note that there may be course changes with future curriculum revisions that affect a change in course requirements listed on this sheet.

❖ Gluer Operator Finishing Department

Reports to: Finishing Department Supervisor Starting pay $18/hour | $20/hour upon completion Program

Learn to performmanual and machine operator tasks related to Make-Ready / Set-Up, Run Operation, and Maintenance of Folder-Gluer. Directs Gluer crew, and performs other related tasks as directed by management.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Understands Finishing Gluing order requirements by learning job specification, assessing necessary elements for gluing while following posted schedule • Learn to check flat carton blanks, verifying correct copy and product identification number, while preparing proper adhesive, window file (type/size, if required), corrugate cases, and required labels • Learn to Make-Ready / Set-Up of Folder Gluer Machine, Case Packer, Case Erector, and Case Tapper

• Learn to Make-Ready / Set-Up Corrugate Case Packing Machine

• Learn to adjust Corrugate Case Erector, case tape sealing machine, code date printer, and push off conveyor • Inspect random sample carton for Gluing Quality. Check proper pre break of working scores. Test glue bonds for application, and fiber tear. Check for torn, damaged, or bent flaps. Use micrometer to check board caliper, measure edge caliper, and score balance. Verify tightness of the corrugate packing case, and accuracy of quantity pack count.

• Will provide crew relief as required

• Verify compliance with TOPS' Packing Specifications as stated in the Factory Order

• Ensure that ALL ISO 9001:2000 Procedures, Work Instructions, 6-S, and QPOC's are followed • Minimizes downtime, troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns, calling for Maintenance assistance. Ensure consistent Gluer Machine operation by completing preventative maintenance as required • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership and responsibility for implementation of new and different requests: exploring opportunities to add value to the job and organization Certificate: Computerized Manufacturing and Machining Note that there may be course changes with future curriculum revisions that affect a change in course requirements listed on this sheet.
