PREACHING IN ACTS “ The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ” (Acts 10:36). Acts 4:13 shows that the power of the preachers is not dependent upon education, but their being filled with the Holy Spirit and trained in the Word of God. 1. Jonah was a preacher Jonah 3:2, 3 2. Jeremiah was a preacher Jeremiah 1:4-10 3. John the Baptist was a preacher Matthew 3:1-5 4. Jesus was a preacher Mark 1:38 5. Paul was a preacher I Corinthians 9:16 6. Preaching is repulsive to some; re freshing to others I Corinthians 1:18 7. It is possible to preach and yet so twist, distort, and pervert the Scripture as to lead people com pletely astray.
