The provincial government has offered a $50,000 reward for information that would help identify the person responsible for Go- din’s death. Police have presented YouTube videos through the Internet as part of their efforts to encourage anyone with informa- tion contact them. If someone has any knowledge about the case that can help police they can go to the OPP YouTube channel at www.opp.ca or call the CrimeStoppers toll-free confidential tips line at 1-800-222-8477. The 18-year-old woman died from inju- ries sustained when an unknown vehicle

struck her Sept. 22, 2011, while she was walking along Du Parc Street during the early evening hours. She was last seen, alive, between 7 and 8:15 p.m., in the Du Parc neighbourhood. Godin’s body was found two days later in a roadside ditch. Post-mortem examination indicated she was hit by an eastbound ve- hicle. At the time of her death, Godin was stay- ing at a friend’s home in Fournier. She left the house around 6 p.m. on the night she died. Since investigation began on the case po- lice have done more than 90 interviews and worked through 250 assignments following leads and other evidence to try and identify

FOURNIER | Police went around knocking on doors in one Fournier village neigh- bourhood. They hope someone may have some scrap of information that could help them close the book on a two-year-old hit-and-run fatality. OPP officers conducted a roadside can- vass of the Du Parc Street area in Fournier in The Nation municipality Sept. 19 evening. They are seeking help concerning a hit- and-run incident that killed Jessica Marie Lynn Godin.
