The Clarence-Rockland Museum, in- augurated onApril 29th 2010 is located in the former Ste-Famille school at 687 Laurier Street in Rockland, Ontario. Erected in 1909, it is an ideal building of nine rooms used to house more than 5,000 pictures, documents, news- papers, ancient books, 78 rpmrecords, military bravery medals, ancient tools and utensils, clothes, plaques, trophies
and artifacts. All this distributed in the rooms located on three floors of the centenary building. Marc Dorion room: Marc Dorion room contains all the achievements of local sports groups to individual achievement for amateur and professional sports of everyone in the region.
Laporte family room: Laporte family room has the models of the beginning of Rockland in 1868 as well as heritage, genealogy and necrol- ogy of all the region. Archives room: Archive rooms with more than 700 binders (300 more at my residence) containing approximately 450,000 complete documents of local, regional, provincial, national and international interest Gilles Chartrand room: The Gilles Chartrand hall, a surprise of the City of Clarence-Rockland, serves as an art gallery, place for driving classes and houses the section for francophone authors and writers, section on world
Second Floor: On the second floor, we can find the Inuit exhibition since February 2011 with more than 300 items which was supposed to last only a month or two. Groups of 10 to 20 students regularly visit the exhibition. Basement: The basement houses the 2nd ar- chival room but also a new addition with the zoology, astronomy, mineral- ogy reptile and mammal fossils includ- ing dinosaurs.
