District 11 - Frederick and Washington
• The District Court in Frederick County continues to meet virtually with stakeholders at the monthly meetings of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to discuss areas of concern, share information, and resolve issues that affect the criminal justice system. Communication with criminal justice partners is essential to the effective flow of operations and continuity. During COVID-19, the resumption of this meeting on a virtual platform has been vital in keeping all stakeholders updated. • The Frederick County Mental Health (FCMH) program, which launched in September 2020 is an ongoing program. In 2021, there were 11 active participants with an additional seven potential participants pending approval after screening.
• The District Court in Frederick County developed a protocol that established how eWarrants would be handled on a local level. Implemented in July 2020, this process continues to be the primary way the court handles search warrant requests. E-signing software continues to be used to electronically sign search warrants, applications, and returns. • The District Court in Washington County continues to meet with stakeholders at quarterly meetings of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. Stakeholders meet to discuss areas of concern, share information, and to resolve issues that affect the criminal justice system.
