Any items not suitable for pick up will have a sticker put on them. Homeowners are then responsible for taking those items to the dump themselves for disposal. If they
are still sitting on the roadside after a certain amount of time, a township crew will take the junk to the dump, but the homeowner will then receive either a bill from the township or have the cost added to next year’s property tax bill. The public works department will present a report on the success of the sticker system for the annual spring cleanup at a future council session.

Township council received notice of a one-time-only “top up” payment of $599,746 this year to help with critical infrastructure OFFET$PVODJMBMTPSFDFJWFEDPOàSNBUJPO of this year’s one-time-only federal gas tax bonus for the township. Last year, Champlain Township received $273,058 for its federal gas tax grant. The bonus means the muni- cipality will get $546,116 this year to use for infrastructure needs.
