It provides a smooth transition from the school day into after-school time and serves as a hub for students par- ticipating in sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities. Students love spending time at The LOFT, where every day offers opportunities to connect, create, and have fun through crafts, games, sports, and hands-on activities. Our dedicated staff make full use of the Community Gym and surrounding outdoor spaces to create an experience that goes beyond traditional childcare—fostering friendships, independence, creativity, and active play in a safe and supportive environ- ment. This year, we’re excited to expand our programming during LOFT hours by offering more student-centered activities and enrichment opportunities. We’ll also be surveying students throughout the year to learn more about their interests and help shape programming that reflects what they’re most ex- cited to explore and experience. Cooking classes will continue on Wednesdays, giving students a chance to build kitchen skills, try new recipes, and enjoy creating together. Healthy

Many students who attend Zoila’s or the LOFT include a VAST tutoring session as part of their day. Students are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. The San Geronimo Valley Community Center is excited to part- ner with Bolinas Surf Lessons to offer a week of Surf Camp this summer, running June 15th - 18th! This unique collaboration makes it easier than ever for local families to access an unfor- gettable coastal experience. Campers will participate in Bolinas Surf Lessons’ well-loved 4-day surf camp (Monday–Thursday, 10am–3pm), where safety, fun, and skill-building are always the top priorities. With over 20 years of experience and small group instruction (typically just 2–4 campers per instructor), kids receive personalized coaching in surfing fundamentals, ocean safety, and beach etiquette. Designed for ages 9–12, this “King Salmon” group is perfect for beginners and those looking to build confidence in the water. Campers will learn how to catch waves, stand, and maneuver on a board, while also gaining an understanding of tides, rip currents, and coastal ecology. Each day includes plenty of time for surfing, boogie boarding, body surfing, and beach games at Bolinas Beach—one of the Bay Area’s best beginner surf spots. To make this opportunity more accessible, the Community Center will provide daily transportation to and from Bolinas, helping remove a common barrier for families.
