■ Career achievements: Led a team of 25 staff from Nigeria’s Space Agency to collaborate with UBEC. Developed a geospatial database of basic education institutions in Nigeria. This has helped the commission to easily compute and design programmes such as the school feeding programme that has reduced the number of out of school children by approximately four million. Co-ordinated the activities of a new branch of a commercial bank. Mobilised deposit in excess of two billion Naira within the first six months of operations, which increased the profitability of the bank and its customer base by 1,000 new accounts. Developed a geospatial data portal. Co-ordinated seven training teams for geodatabase and portal management for data producers to submit non-classified datasets to the portal, which provided free access to high quality geospatial data for public and private use. This has helped researchers in Nigeria to have access to geospatial data.
