• Possessing a relevant professional qualification (degree level qualification or relevant professional membership) in a built environment related discipline. • Proven experience in the leadership of large scale capital projects and programmes on behalf of a large, complex organisation • Experience in the project management of complex projects up to and in excess of £25m in value. • Programme level leadership experience, with experience of overseeing a diverse portfolio of capital projects at various stages in the project life-cycle. • Demonstrable experience in the leadership and management of technical/professional staff • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment and working • Ability to produce appropriate and buildable design material and contract documentation for projects up to and in excess of £25M and within the Public Procurement Regulations. • Good working knowledge of Building Regulations, planning law, relevant statutory legislation and codes of practice, CDM regulations, JCT and other standard forms of contract for construction; relevant health and safety legislation and practice • Good computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft excel, project and access) effectively leading and participating as a member of multi-disciplinary teams

• Additional project, programme or commercial management qualifications

• Experience of capital planning in a multi-building estates environment • Experience across a broad range of property and project types including academic, research, commercial and public building types. • Experience of monitoring projects being delivered by third party development partners
