Imply long-term employment. This defeats the at-will employment doctrine. Inquire about applicant’s children. Ask the applicant how he/she feels about working with people of different races. Ask the applicant’s maiden name. Ask questions about the applicant’s marital status, number or ages of her children, current pregnancy, or future childbearing plans.
