What do you think is most important in judging someone else’s work? 8.8 Closing the Interview As you close the interview, be sure the applicant’s questions are answered. You could ask, “Is there anything else you would like to know about MOLLY MAID or the position we are offering?” Tell the applicant the next step in the process and when you will inform her of your decision. Include information on any background checks and be obtain the necessary releases. 8.9 Additional Interviews You may find it appropriate to interview an applicant a second time, but one interview done correctly is usually sufficient in determining an applicant’s potential as a MOLLY MAID employee. 8.10 Fill out the Interview Checklist Use the Interview Form to document your impressions. Fill out the form immediately after the interview while everything is still fresh in your mind. It will help you compare candidates much more effectively, especially after a few days when your memory of each candidate has faded slightly. You may also want to develop a list of things to note about each applicant. The list should include:  Was the applicant on time?  Was the applicant neat and clean?  Was the applicant cheerful and enthusiastic?  Could the applicant fill out the application form properly?  Does the applicant have a stable previous work record?  Is the applicant bondable?  Does the applicant list reliable references?  Does the applicant have a valid driver’s license?  Have you checked her driving record through government sources?
