Bev passed away peacefully at the Residence of Lachute with family by her side on November 5, 2013. Beloved wife of the late George Blanchard, step-mother to Peggy (late Jimmy) and Merilee (Rawle) and much loved sister of Isabel (late Rudy). Bev will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and unconditional love by her step-grandson Kent, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and numerous wonderful friends. At Bev’s request, a private burial will take place . She leaves her loving husband Bart and two sons, Richard and Steven, their spouses and six grandchildren, her sister Carol (Tookie) Robert Lamarche. A celebration of life will be held in Lachute at a later date. VAITTINEN Mr. Pertti (Peter) Vaittinen from Hawkesbury, ON, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Vineo Laila Luonua. He leaves behind many relatives and friends in Finland. Peter will be sadly missed by his neighbors Betty & Yvan Charron; his longtime friend Bert Chew as well as many friends from the Hawkesbury Golf & Curling Club, where both he and his wife were longtime members. At Peter’s request, there will be no visitation; cremation took place. A private interment will be held at Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, QC, at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of the Hawkesbury General Hospital for their kind attention and care of Peter. VAN ALSTYNE, Joanne (née Ravary)
Joanne est décédée à Mississauga (Ont.), le jeudi 31 octobre 2013, à l’âge de 63 ans. Elle était la mère bien-aimée de Christina; la fille de feu Florian Ravary et feu Anne-Aimée Duval; la chère soeur de Yvon Ravary (Paulette), Yves Ravary (Sheila) et Doris Ladouceur. Elle fut prédécédée par sa sœur, Anita (Jean-Roch Paquette). Elle était une tante appréciée par ses nièces et ses neveux: Cindy, Josée (Paul), Jennylee (Brendan), Derek (Sarah), Lyne (Gilles), Eric (Bonnie), Denis (Jacqueline), Jacques et feu Gilles (Judy). La direction des funérailles a été confiée au Salon Funéraire Hillcrest, 151, rue Bond, Vankleek Hill (Ont.), 613 678-2002 . Les obsèques auront lieu en l’église Saint-Grégoire-de-Nazianze de Vankleek Hill, 137, rue Higginson, Vankleek Hill (Ont.), le samedi 9 novembre à 11 h. La famille sera présente à l’église à compter de 10 h, pour recevoir vos condoléances.
