Community Happenings Autumn Gardening & Greenhouse Growth Our gardening group bloomed with pride this season! March marked the expansion of our beloved garden into a full greenhouse, creating a vibrant space for nurturing both plants and friendships. With pot painting, planting, and outdoor sessions, residents worked alongside student helpers and even welcomed visitors from Strathpine Aged Care for a shared afternoon of green-thumb joy.
Community Visits & Connections Autumn reminded us of the power of community beyond our walls. Therapy dogs Tyson and Xena brought warmth and cuddles, student volunteers helped in the garden, and visits from the Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre during Harmony Week encouraged beautiful connections. We also welcomed guests from Strathpine Aged Care for a guided garden walk and afternoon tea, building bonds and stories to cherish. Games, Crafts & Everyday Joys From morning exercise to indoor bowls, from bingo laughs to afternoon tea chats—every day brought something joyful. Whether it was painting garden pots, sipping cappuccinos on a rainy day, or enjoying spontaneous performances and household concerts, the rhythm of life at Burpengary was steady, uplifting and full of meaning. The atmosphere was made even cosier with the new record player setup in the Café, spinning tunes and sparking memories.
