Wanted felon alert
Residents in the Ottawa area and surroun- ding communities are asked to be on the lookout for Jason Lebreton. The Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE) issued an alert, June 1, for Lebreton who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of his parole conditions. He was serving less than five years in cus- tody on a variety of charges, most of them involving property crimes, when he went missing while out on parole. Lebreton, 37, is a whitemale, with brown eyes and black hair. He stands about five- foot-nine and weighs around 192 pounds. He has scars on his chin and right forearm. He is known to frequent the Ottawa area in EasternOntario or else the Greater Toron- to or Sudbury areas or Windsor in South and Central Ontario. Anyone who sees Lebreton or knows where he might be should call their local police at 911, or else either call the ROPE Squad toll-free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE) or the CrimeStoppers toll-free confidential tips line at 1-800-222-8477.
