Unlocking confidence and competency Along with six in-person fire door GQA-accredited courses and two Level 2 NVQs, the training academy offers two GQA and National Skills Centre-developed Level 3 Diplomas for those who want to gain a formal qualification that evidences their professional ability and supports compliance with regulatory requirements. The Level 3 Diploma in Inspection of Fire Resistant Doorsets is a 65-credit qualification comprising 12 units and 313 guided learning hours, certifying individuals to carry out non-invasive inspections with clear emphasis on legislative compliance and practical assessment in live or simulated

environments. The Level 3 Diploma in Installation of Fire-Resistant Doorsets comprises 11 core units, 4 optional units, and 226 guided learning hours, certifying installers as competent to install fire- resistant doorsets in line with current legislation and best practice. With another GQA Level 3 Diploma in Maintenance of Fire-Resistant Doorsets due to launch later this year, FDM will continue to expand its portfolio of vocational qualifications to support the industry and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
