Step 6 — Three Required Settings After Initial Setup
⚠️ After creating your website, you MUST complete these three settings. Do not skip them — they affect security, search visibility, and your personal brand domain.
2. Search Engine Visibility
3. Personal Domain Configuration
1. SSL Certificate
Go to Settings → SEO or Search Engines section
Go to Settings → Domain (or Custom Domain)
Go to Settings in the Admin Dashboard
Enter your personal domain (e.g., AmyRioHomes.com, YourNameRealtor.com) Your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) must have DNS pointed to MoxiWorks
Find the SSL setting (under Security or General Settings)
Confirm search engine visibility is turned ON (not blocked)
A new site defaults to 'discourage search engines' — you must manually turn this off
Enable SSL / HTTPS for your site
SSL makes your site secure (padlock icon in browser) and is required for Google ranking
Once enabled, Google can index and rank your pages
Contact your office admin or MoxiWorks support for DNS configuration details
Combine with weekly content, town pages, and consistent posting for best results
Once live, your personal domain replaces the temporary bhgre-realestate.com subdomain
Without SSL, Google may flag your site as 'not secure' and visitors may leave
Builds personal brand — not the BHGRE subdomain
Required for Google ranking + visitor trust
Must be ON for any SEO benefit
Complete all three of these settings the SAME DAY you create your website — they directly affect your Google visibility and credibility with visitors.
