BHG Communication Guidelines
BHG Better Connect is an official company communication tool. All interactions are subject to BHG's Code of Conduct and Acceptable Use Policy. Please follow these guidelines when using the platform:
Professional Standards • Maintain a respectful and professional tone in all communications • Use clear, concise language — avoid jargon or ambiguous messages • Do not share confidential client data, PHI, or sensitive financial information via chat • Think before you post — messages are logged and may be reviewed for compliance Effective Communication Tips • Use @mentions to alert specific team members: @firstname or @channel • Use threads to keep conversations organized and reduce channel clutter • Set your status to reflect your availability so colleagues know when you are reachable • Use the correct channel for your message — avoid posting unrelated content • Acknowledge messages with reactions ( 👍 ) to confirm receipt without extra replies
Response Time Expectations • Direct Messages from managers or leadership: respond within 2 business hours • Channel mentions: respond within 4 business hours during business hours
