Beavers can’t sink teeth in fourth place

Les Bandits s’emparent de la victoire
The Clarence Beavers weren’t able to se- cure the fourth place in theMetro division last weekend. They suffered two losses both in shootout and are now three points behind the Metcalfe Jets in the race to the playoffs. “Even with two losses wemanaged to get two points in the standings, said manager Charlie Lavictoire. But I liked what I saw this weekend with our team, which was trailing behind, coming back in the game” Thursday, the Beavers had their work cut out for them as they paid a visit to the division leaders, the Ottawa West Golden Knights. The Beavers shot on the Ottawa goalie 10 times in the first period but were unable to slide one in. The Knights took advantage of a power play to get the first goal and take a 1-0 lead.
