EXTENSION & INTERVENTION PROGRAMS We cater for all students through provision of extension and enhancement programs (High Abilities Program and Maths Extension Program) and intervention programs (focused teaching groups, MiniLit and MacqLit Literacy program); targeted programs are developed to meet the individual interests, needs and talents of our students.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING The Resilience Project and SWPBS sessions support students’ wellbeing, resilience and interpersonal skills. In Prep, students learn to recognise emotions, practise kindness and develop positive relationships with others. In Years 1 and 2, students explore empathy, mindfulness and strategies for managing emotions while learning how to work cooperatively and resolve simple conflicts. During Years 3 and 4, students strengthen resilience by reflecting on challenges, developing self-regulation and building positive peer relationships. In Years 5 and 6, students focus on independence, leadership and preparation for secondary school by developing strategies for managing stress, setting goals and maintaining respectful relationships. Across all year levels, students build the emotional skills needed to become confident, resilient and supportive members of their school community.
