ZAVOJSKO JEZERO Ispod Stare planine, na jugu Srbije, na samo 15 kilometara od Pirota nalazi se Zavojsko jezero, koje je jedno od najlepših i naj- čistijih veštačkih jezera u Srbiji. Voda je bistra i mirna. Čitavo jezero, zbog velike dubine, nije svuda bezbedno za kupanje, ali plaža koja se nalazi kod nekadašnjeg sela Mala Lukanja je bez- bedna. Temperatura vode u toku leta dostiže i 22 stepena, što je savršeno za rashlađivanje. Osim kupača, na Zavojskom jeze- ru mogu da uživaju i pecaroši, jer je bogato belom ribom, šara- nom, karašem i deverikom, a u Visočici i u Belskoj reci ima i po- točne pastrmke. ŠTA OBIĆI Samo srce Stare planine, sa pogledom na Midžor i Babin zub, predstavlja jedan od najvećih turističkih potencija- la tog kraja.
ZAVOJ LAKE Below Stara Planina, aka the Balkan Mountain, in the south of Ser- bia, just 15 kilometres from the city of Pirot, is Zavoj Lake, one of the cleanest and most beautiful artificial lakes in Serbia. The wa- ter is clear and calm. Due to its great depths, the lake isn’t safe for swimming everywhere, but the beach located near the former vil- lage of Mala Lukanja is safe. Water temperatures during the sum- mer reach 22°C, which is perfect for cooling down. In addition to swimming, Zavoj Lake can also be enjoyed by anglers, thanks to it being rich in white fish, carp, crucian carp and bream, while there are also brown trout in the nearby Visočica and Belska River. WHAT TO VISIT The very heart of the Balkan Mountain, with views of the peaks of Midžor and Babin Zub, represents one of the greatest tourist potentials of this region.
