This team was always there to encourage me!

Physical Therapy and was treated by Tom Sawhill. He helped me through the toughest times and allowed me, after many months, to finally be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. He gave me hope that I would get back to normal and he was there to help me step by step. Tom and the physical therapy team have been such a huge help in gettingme back to normal. They have helpedme in so many ways that I can’t even describe. When I was having my most overwhelming and sad days, this team was always there to encourage me to keep trying my best. They were also great in keeping my mind off the pain while they were stretching my arm by telling me funny stories. After 5 months of going to physical therapy twice a week, I am 90% back to normal. I can do all my normal day to day tasks at home and I am able to be back at work and do my job 100%. My favorite part of therapy is the incredible team that South Valley Physical Therapy has. Not only are they all great therapists, they are all so friendly and have wonderful personalities. While you are working out on the machinery, everyone is so supportive and helpful. They all want you to succeed and it is apparent in the way that they treat every patient that walks in. I would recommend SVPT to anyone that has had an accident, surgery, or is just in need of therapy. They take such good care of you and are there to help you in multiple aspects of the healing process. Thank you, Tom, and the SVPT team for helping me regain my mobility and life back. I thank you with all my heart.” - S.P.H.

“My name is Sarah Herbert. One month and three days after marrying my best friend, and having one of the best days of my life, I had one of the most traumatic and life altering days of my life. It all started when my husband and I were driving back from LA after he had a job interview. It was my turn to drive, so that my husband could sleep for a little bit. As I was driving I started to feel very light headed. I began to lean over to my husband to tell him something was wrong, but my hand never made it over to tap him on the shoulder. My blood pressure dropped and I passed out at the wheel of the car. We were driving on interstate 5 and I was using my car’s cruise control, set at 73 mph. As I passed out, the car started to drift off the road, towards the center divide. I somehow came to from passing out and then was so scared that I over corrected the car in an attempt to get back on the road. I turned so sharply that we went across both lanes of traffic and went off the road on the other side. This was all exacerbated by the fact the cruise control was still on. We ended up in a ditch after rolling my car 5 times. We are both so thankful and grateful to be alive. My car was a convertible 350z, with not a lot of protection. My side of the car took the most impact since it was the side that hit first when we started to roll, so I took a brunt of the injuries. My injuries included: a dislocated left shoulder, a separated and cracked right shoulder, a broken left humorous bone, 8 broken ribs, a fractured T- 1 vertebra in my neck, multiple bruises and two pieces of glass lodged in my arm. I felt so hopeless that I would never feel back to normal, but then I went to South Valley

After her accident, Sarah thought that she would never feel back to normal. But then she came to South Valley PT...
