What I did: During my internship, I generated monthly reports supporting Production and Aftermarket overhead rate calculations and assisted with both internal and external audits by gathering and verifying documentation. I also reviewed unallowable costs under CAS 405 and FAR 31.205, prepared monthly Aftermarket monitorship rates, and assisted with year-end rate packages. Additionally, I improved the rates index, conducted quarterly voucher evaluations, and used Excel formulas and data tools to organize and analyze financial data. What I liked: I liked being able to bring skills from my classes into real-life situations with a real purpose. I also enjoyed getting involved in a new community and building my professional skills. Future Dream Job: I hope to become a financial analyst or auditor where I can use my skills to contribute to meaningful work and make a positive impact.
